Google’s Fast Flip service is out, you can even use it on your mobile.
According to Google: “Fast Flip is a web application that lets users discover and share news articles. It combines qualities of print and the Web, with the ability to “flip” through pages online as quickly as flipping through a magazine. It also enables users to follow friends and topics, discover new content and create their own custom magazines around searches.”
I’ve browsed through several articles on my iPhone. It’s heavy on tech, poor on usability. You are simply just browsing web pages screenshots of newspaper websites. Headlines aside, nothing at all can get read without clicking on the screenshots which links to the original article.
This is just news, all-you-can-eat. Nothing useful, or maybe for the elderly who may like the feeling of turning pages of a magazine.
